Investment Philosophy

- We believe markets are inefficient and active management adds value.
- Portfolio management necessitates managing risk AND return.
- All investment processes involve human judgement.
- The use of quantitative modelling in the investment process can reduce human biases.
- Judgement, knowledge and experience counters the tendency for quantitative models to be “precisely wrong”
- Within ESG we focus on G, as it provides insight into management stewardship of shareholder capital.
- Continuous research and refinement of processes are important to maintain competitive advantage.
